New World China Land, a Hong Kong based developer, has been underpaying and overworking its employees, according to over 1300 interviews conducted by SACOM (www.sacom.hk). Workers are forced to sign contracts they do not feel comfortable with or do not understand, and unqualified subcontractors have been regularly highered to cut costs.
